Hello all, I've got a pretty exciting announcement to make! At least, it's exciting for me.
I've just published two books, and they are available to purchase on Amazon! I'll describe them each and give links to them, but I want to take a moment to thank you all for your support. It means so much to me to know that what I write (whether it's books, short stories, or poetry) is getting read. It takes a lot of time and effort to sustain this blog and my writing career, and none of it means anything without people reading what I make. So thank you!
The Odyssey of Jason Peterson: The New World
This novel is the first in a four-part series about a young man (Jason) pursuing his daughter after she's kidnapped and taken a thousand years into the future. Much to his surprise, rather than seeing flashy spaceships and intergalactic travel, he finds a world brought to its knees after a nuclear war. The world's technology has regressed to the point that even simple things like cars and phones are a distant memory.
Jason's daughter, Emily, was taken at the age of two. He realizes that the longer he is apart from her, the more she will develop as a part of this new world and forget the old world. Therefore, he must race against time and pursue her as well as the means to return to his wife.
This project has been in the works a long time, and I'm super excited to share it. I originally planned to release it as one book, and therefore have it all written. But when I finished, the manuscript was over 400,000 words long, greatly exceeding the Amazon print limit. So I decided to break it up into several parts.

If you read it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
A Collection of Short Stories and Poetry From the Year 2020
This is a collection of everything (except the book revies and analyses) I posted on this blog within 2020. Unfortunately, it's not a full year's worth, seeing as I started the blog in July. So it's everything written between July and December, which is still a decent amount.
It contains seven short stories and twenty-four poems. If you joined late and didn't get to read everything but still want to, be sure to check this out. Or, if you know someone who's looking for some short stories or poetry to read, feel free to suggest it to them!
I have absolutely loved writing short stories and poems on this blog, and I know for a fact that it's helped me grow as a writer. As I looked back on some of the stories and poetry in the collection, I felt encouraged to see how far I've come and how I can continue to improve in the future. Writing is an endless growing process, no one's ever mastered it and no one ever will. But anyone who persists and puts the time in can grow and develop their ability, just like any trade.

I want to end by thanking you all again. Starting this blog has been a huge learning process for me, thank you for being patient and reading what I've put out. I can't express strongly enough how great it is to feel that your work is being read. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
