This month we'll be reading George Elliot's Silas Marner. I read this one a long time ago but have forgotten a lot of the details, so it'll be a good reread. From what I can remember, the novel follows a 19th-century linen weaver (Silas) in Northern England. A large part of the novel deals with his self-isolation from the people around him (classic grumpy old man), and the way they see him. His situation changes when a child is separated from its mother and Silas adopts her. Unlike Silas, the child grows up to be a joy to the community, and eventually changes his heart too. At least, that's what I remember.
If you're interested in reading it, here's a schedule so you can follow along. Also, the book is free on Project Gutenberg! Follow this link to read it.

2/15 -2/21: Chapters 9-14
2/22 - 28: Chapters 15-Conclusion
February is short, so it might be kind of difficult to get this one done on time, but I will do my utmost to have it finished and post a review early March.
