What has paper and pen
in an age so new and improved?
Surely they’ve long been outdone
by that which is now so common.
Computers and phones
and those that are both
have transcended their basic purpose.
Internet
makes letters sent
a waste of time and coin.
But what transcends
when written in pen
a message of heart in letter?
And what then can rival
the laborious revival
of scenes on paper in pen?
No text can assign
nor email align
the emotion of paper and pen.
